Serves as Officer of an Engineering Watch aboard muti-service, dynamic positioning (DP2), SOLAS vessels. Reports to Chief Engineer. Abides by lawful Watch Standing Orders executed by the Chief Engineer. Supervises other personnel within Engineering Department. Upholds stringent compliance with U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations, Classification rules, industry practices, and company policies. Maintains vessel’s machinery and equipment, utilizes automation and power distribution systems and records activities and maintenance in computer software.
Ideal Experience:
- 2 years of service as Officer In Charge of an Engineering Watch or greater.
- DP2 * ACCU (Automation) * High Voltage Power Management * Hydraulics * Knuckle Boom Sub-Sea Cranes
