This position evaluates and improves manufacturing methods and processes specifically in the use of automation systems and Program Logic Circuits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Confers with planning, and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Assist with the development of the product design and functionality.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Applies statistical process control methods to monitor critical manufacturing specifications.
Program robot welder weld and weave programs.
Operate basic shop equipment including lathe, CNC mill, precision drills, etc.
Basic soldering on circuit board to include wire connections and component replacement.
Maintain Allen Bradley PLC program.
Position requires an Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline and at least 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge in automating systems to perform mechanical functions using magnetic, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system/components. Welding theory knowledge and prior Allen Bradley PLC program experience is required.
