Job Summary - This position will perform the assembling of a variety of equipment or major modular structures and will complete assembly and area housekeeping.

Job Function and Responsibilities

Assemble modular structures using various machines and hand and power tools.
Breakdown pre-assembled units and modular structures per shipping schedule and instructions.
Stage packed components for shipment.
Addresses work order or BOM (Build of Materials form).
Regular and consistent attendance according to a scheduled shift.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
Consistently follow all safety rules and regulations and help promote a safe work environment.
Consistently and professionally promote a teamwork environment.
Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
Work closely with Engineers on drawing changes and be pro-active in providing recommendations based on manufacturing experience.
Responsible for area housekeeping.
Participate in the processes of continuous improvement to include inspection checklists for quality control.
Ability to effectively perform similar position on the floor at any point in time.
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform team lift based on the situation and use lifting devices and ladders on a case by case basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
One (1) to two (2) years of manufacturing experience is preferred

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience
High mechanical aptitude is required.
Demonstrated ability to read a tape measure.
Experience with hand held tools and assembling parts is required.
Demonstrated ability to read blue prints is required.
Tool requirements per list are required.
Strong math skills are preferred.
Problem solving skills are required.
High level of energy and motivation.
Ability to teach or train new hires or team members in basic assembly requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend work required.

Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment and in a professional capacity.
