Job Description
As a Battery Modeling Engineer with EC POWER, your essential duties will be to carry out and take

ownership of activities such as:
taking a leading role in our internal model development, creating commercial computer software
for lithium ion batteries, fuel cells, and other electrochemical devices

applying our Li-ion and fuel cell software to our clients’ pressing problems and rapidly solving
these problems

working with our partners and clients as a technical expert, to help address pressing technical

helping to prepare documentation and user manuals

marketing and selling our commercial products at conferences, trade shows, and other venues

other related duties

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
  • In-depth understanding of Li-ion battery fundamentals and electrochemical modeling
  • Ability to work independently to solve critical problems of clients in the battery industry
  • Experience with and understanding of operation of HEVs, PHEVs, EVs and/or other electrochemical
systems and devices.
  • Excellent personality with the ability and desire to work hand-in-hand with clients to address their
pressing technical needs in a timely fashion
  • 2-5 years of experience in Li-ion battery modeling
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of advanced numerical algorithms
  • Programming experience with C, C++, and FORTRAN
