The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Support for the construction, operation and maintenance of multiple environmental remediation systems including: vapor extraction, LNAPL recovery, groundwater recovery and groundwater treatment.
+ Assisting with soil, groundwater and vapor sampling at multiple locations in the Los Angeles Basin.
+ Assist geologists and engineers in the field.
+ Perform troubleshooting of remediation systems and prepare daily paperwork describing field observations and duties.
+ Participate in daily safety briefings.
+ Candidate is required to be oncall for emergency trouble shooting (Weekday and/or weekend).
+ Overtime work is possible on a weekly basis.
+ BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ BS in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
+ 0 to 1 year relevant experience
+ Valid California driver’s license
+ Mechanical aptitude a plus
+ Ability to work safely in a team environment under the direction of engineers and geologists
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
+ Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and GIS/AutoCAD proficient.
+ OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training Preferred.
+ OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training and Current Refresher Preferred.
+ EIT or Professional Engineer (P.E.) Preferred.
+ Mechanical Troubleshooting and Repair Skills Preferred.
+ Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Preferred.
