Our Chantilly, VA office is seeking to hire an entry-level Chemical Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team performing technical work for federal government clients. Specific duties include:
Assist in evaluation of the risk to human health and the environment from the manufacture, processing, and use of chemicals.
Search and review literature for industrial process descriptions, chemical release and occupational exposure information, and characterization of exposure routes and pathways.
Complete environmental fate and transport analyses.
Review and compile information from various public and private databases to support development of risk assessments.
Communicate results of research and analysis both internally and to external audiences through oral presentations and discussions, and through written technical reports/documents.

Candidates must have the following:
Degree in Chemical Engineering.
0-5 years of experience.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required).
Strong writing and communication skills.
Competence using spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present data.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
Ideal Candidates will have the following:
Technical writing experience.
Demonstrated interest or direct experience in environmental science.
Knowledge and an understanding of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and programs, particularly the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Coursework in or experience developing risk assessments.
