Process Engineer responsible for supporting the Huntington facility. Effectively manage site activities for program and equipment launches, significant product changes and other manufacturing changes. Lead manufacturing and engineering teams through 8D problem solving and continuous improvement. Interface with external customers to resolve concerns and provide guidance for internal customers.
Perform all the duties associated with those of a Process Engineer in an assembly & paint environment.
Be an active participant on the Cross Functional Business Teams; providing support and leadership for the paint process improvement projects.
Serve as effective team member of all related product launches and/or manufacturing changes.
Set up and maintain a system to measure and monitor process capability as needed for the paint processes.
Provide support in developing and monitoring Process FMEAs and control plans.
Drive the reduction of internal non-conformances in the paint processes using cross functional teams and proven corrective action tools.
Monitor business performance to goals and initiate corrective action, when necessary, to address gaps in performance.
Promote and maintain internal & external customer & supplier relationships.
Support IATF certification.
Communicate and support Product Safety activities and procedures with team members
Set up, trouble shoot and continuously Improve robotic cleaning and painting process.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
Fully familiar with FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA – AIAG Modules
Robot cleaning and painting processes. Preferable experience with UV paint.

Strong PC skills including MS Excel use, experience with database use/construction

5 or more years of experience in the truck, automotive or aerospace industries in the areas of Quality and Engineering.
Automotive/Truck industry experience
Six Sigma experience
Painting process experience desired (preferably robotic)
BS/BSET degree required in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical engineering. Other 4-year technical degrees with related paint process and equipment experience will also qualify.
