For the Voith Digital Ventures, Operations department, we are looking for:
Engineer III, Automation
Summary – To design control system for new paper machine, rebuilds, upgrades or other projects such as machine optimization, from order placement to final acceptance by the customer. The control engineer III will
Assist with control system design and BoM (bill of materials)
PLC configuration, programming, HMI development and network design.
Support project related planning, budget review and coordinations (meetings, customer handling, documentation control, etc)
Support installation, commissioning, and service of these systems.
Provide customer training on these systems.
To obtain information needed by the technical areas to start project
To design control systems including control cabinets, junction boxes, network, hydraulics / pneumatics systems and define necessary sensors / instrumentation for the applications
To program process control systems and develop HMI applications
To issue project specifications and directives to all Voith locations and key suppliers
To ensure compliance with project specifications and Voith directives
To participate in the Factory Acceptance tests (FAT) as required
To participate in the start-up or support service team at the mill as required
To participate in the lessons learned meeting and necessary corrective actions to resolve deficiencies
To support proposal / sales team on technical matters
To support internal and external project kick off meetings
To support the coordination of project activities required for successful completion of project
To meet project deadlines and stay within project budget
To support monitoring progress of project elements at home location as well as all Voith locations and key suppliers
To support obtaining approvals of all required documents by customer and all Voith locations
To support the project review meetings with the customer and within Voith
To be an active project team member and to foster team spirit within the team
To provide assistance to customer as needed
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of process control experience preferably in the paper industry.
Proficient with PLC programming and configuration, SCADA development and configuration (Preferable in Rockwell ControlLogix and FTView).
Ability to use CAE tool (COMOS, AutoCadE, etc).
Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
