Our Forward Reliability Engineering & Support Engineer will collaborate within the organization to review and develop processes or systems to support effective management of the electric grid. Additionally, as our Forward Reliability Engineering & Support Engineer, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert on tools and processes and provide guidance within the organization on future needs and opportunities for innovation. Lastly as our Forward Reliability Engineering & Support Engineer, you will also have the opportunity to work on refining existing processes, identifying operational study needs, congestion management support, state estimator support and finding solutions that result in an efficient and reliable operating day.
We are looking for talented electrical engineers who have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or two+ years of applicable internal MISO experience with a related Engineering degree
- The ability and willingness to work a 24 x7 on-call schedule
Additionally, electrical engineers who have some utility, transmission operations, real-time operations, or related experience is a plus
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
