The Associate Audio Engineer is responsible for ensuing a flawless listening experience of high-quality audiobook productions, as well as compliance with the technical audio specifications of a range of audiobook resellers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Editing the narrator's pacing between paragraphs and sentences as well as inserting / removing identified pickups
Adjusting the dynamics of audio (e.g. noise floor, compression, limiting, etc.)
Reshaping the sound quality by use of equalizations and other audio polishing processes
Adjust the loudness values (RMS, true peak, non-true peak, etc.) of audio files
Export the audio files in the format of the intended destination
Reporting status and resolving issues in collaboration with audiobook producers
Collaborating with third party engineers and ensuring that any outside work is performed to Findaway's standards and expectations
2+ years audio engineering experience in a professional environment
Associate / Bachelor degree in audio related field
Experience working with spoken word audio (preferably audiobooks)
May infrequently require evening or weekend shifts in order to meet project deadlines.
