C908-Project Management- Engineer Intermediate
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Full Time and Exempt
The Engineer applies engineering tools and knowledge (mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, civil, structural, environmental, economics, maintenance, and ergonomics) to develop, lead, and implement cost savings and cost prevention projects. Under broad supervision, responsible for all phases and implementation of medium to large engineering projects. Engineer will determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards: completing technical studies: and preparing cost estimates. Responsible to assure a safe clean working environment by ensuring all procedures, rules, and regulations are followed. Member of the project team and maintains records of key project milestones. Additionally, this position uses project management skills (scope, timing, and budget) to define project expectations and deliverables. The engineer is responsible to implement projects that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all production related manufacturing equipment and processes required to maintain high quality products in a repeatable and cost effective manner.
This position is a key member of the plant leadership team and reports to the Plant Engineer that has assigned a project and plays a key role in assuring alignment of processes across four plants located in Tulsa, OK. As a change agent this position is accountable for modeling Bama's values and foundational principles.

Work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement engineering projects resulting in cost reduction, improved safety, improved quality, improved efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Manage and oversee the design, selection, installation, and asset establishment of new manufacturing equipment.
Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities; resolving problems in timely manner.
Controls project costs by approving spending and defining project scope up front of project.
Support training of team members in new equipment and processes.
Manage engineering documentation for completeness, correctness, and sound engineering discipline for all aspects of the project cycle.
Provide engineering and technical expertise in the ongoing operation, efficiency, maintenance, sanitation and asset management of existing equipment.
Participate in the commercialization process, providing necessary manufacturing equipment and process changes.
Investigate, implement, and maintain world class manufacturing methodologies and equipment.
Provide guidance and direction for building and infrastructure systems such as power distribution, water distribution / pretreatment, mechanical systems, ammonia refrigeration, and fire protection.
Continue to train and develop self through conventions and continuing education opportunities.

Engineering degree required. Preferred engineering discipline in mechanical, biosystems/agricultural, chemical, and/or electrical fields
1- 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering or technical management within the Food Manufacturing sector (baked goods preferred)
Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and associated regulatory compliance
Strong project management skills
Working knowledge of design software - 2D AutoCAD (required), 3D Inventor (desired)
Working knowledge of plant safety, quality, sanitation, and environmental requirements
Working knowledge/experience of statistical tools, programs and interpretation of data
Working knowledge of instrumentation and controls (specifically Allen Bradley)
