Responsibility
This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining quality processes and procedures in Volta operations. These responsibilities cover multiple suppliers, products, and customers.
Typical Duties
1. Quality Management System Maintenance: Works with Quality Manager to develop and maintain the Volta QMS. Offers solutions and opportunities for improvements.
2. Production Quality: Works with the Operations Manager to develop inspection plans and containment plans should a quality concern arise.
3. Problem Solving: Supports the problem solving and corrective action process which may include preparation and submission of customer required documentation and/or construction of 8Ds. Ensures that corrective actions meet timing, quality, and format requirements.
4. Supplier Quality: Works with suppliers to ensure quality products, free from defects and in compliance with Volta’s internal specifications, are provided to Volta. Works with suppliers to resolve any issues.
5. New Product Development: Supports the NPD process and sample part builds to ensure compliance to dimensional and functional requirements, while also ensuring compliance to all applicable quality customer-specific systems and requirements. This may include the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
6. Documentation: Facilitate and assure maintenance of Process Flows (PF), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans for assigned programs.
7. Audits: Supports internal and 3rd party audits of Volta work processes and ensures timely close out of any required corrective actions.
8. BOS: Supports the maintenance of Volta’s BOS system. May act as an internal trainer for documents and help the Quality Manager and other functional managers update documents as necessary.
9. KPIs: Generates reports and documentation to support the Quality Department’s Key Production Indicators (KPIs).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
