Husky Energy has an existing opportunity for a 2nd Class Power Engineer (Breaker Position) to join the Lloydminster Refinery Operations group at our Lloyd Refinery. Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, the successful candidate will work Plant Maintenance on days and shift work coverage, as required, at the Utility Plant.
Safe and efficient operation of the Boilers, water treatment facilities, compressed air plant and all associated auxiliaries
Operation of standby generators to supply emergency power
Operation of a thermal oil plant to supply heat to asphalt storage facilities
Ensure adherence to Husky Safety Policies and Procedures and applicable Provincial and Federal government Regulations
Provide maintenance assistance to Refinery Trades people
Minimum 4 years steam plant operating experience, within a First-Class Steam Plant environment is required
Experience in DCS Control Systems (Fisher,Provox, Delta V)
Petro-Chemical environment experience considered an asset
Experience in Refinery Maintenance and Plant Operations considered an asset
Education & Professional Designations
Second Class Power Engineering Certificate is required
A grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required
This position is based at the Husky Lloyd Refinery and will required the successful candidate to live and work in Lloydminster, SK or AB
Successful candidate will work a modified work schedule including shift work
Successful candidate will be required to work in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation (working at heights, in confined spaces, with noise, in extreme weather conditions)
Successful candidate required a valid Driver’s license
