MISSION

The Digital Data Developer 2 implements business intelligence and analytic solutions or adapts existing ones that are consistent with the needs expressed by the business entities and that provide value to support business issues. The primary expertise is around transforming raw data into usable data for the purpose of delivering analytic solutions that provide actionable insights, but he/she participates in a team for the full development cycle from assisting in the capture and understanding of the needs of business entities to the delivery of a usable solution. He/she has knowledge of the existing solutions and existing processes to understand the needs expressed by the business, to translate those needs into value-add analytic solutions, to identify all the opportunities and to recommend the best solution and the best way to meet the needs. He/she works with customers to create or redefine functional specifications. He/she verifies the functional quality of developments by executing manual and/or automatic tests on a wide variety of devices and setups. He/she also acts as a mentor to Digital Developers 1.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Within the defined perimeter and as part of a Lean and Agile Scrum team,

  • Assisting the team and client in defining and expressing the needs.
  • Identifying issues and opportunities with the client/business partner to accelerate digital processing and increase
business impact.

  • Grasping and detailing the client's functional and technical requirements to properly clarify the needs expressed.
  • Ensuring that all procedures and guidelines are met (standards, hosting, security and confidentiality of data).
  • Capitalizing on acquired knowledge and securing the satisfaction of clients and partners.
Analysis and translation of the customer need

  • Understanding the business’ processes within its field and its use cases. · Helping the client/business partner in expressing its needs and understanding (through involvement in business activities) business requirements. · Studying the needs expressed. · Analyzing the functional, environmental and technical characteristics of the desired type of solution. · Advising and validating the solution with the customer. Developing the solution · Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug solutions. · Write code/build and perform testing and debugging of solutions. · Maintain and improve existing solution. · Contribute as technical consultant to the functional design and validation of the solution. · Design and implement changes to existing solutions. · Carries out the associated documentation. Controlling and testing · Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. · Ensure quality and consistency. · Analyze and understand the origin of a malfunction, incident or bug Operation, production and maintenance · Oversee operability and user acceptance · Participate in the production process · Answer technical questions · Train users/deployers/support teams Solution success · The solution implemented satisfies the functional needs of the business. · The business uses the analytic solution. · The solution delivers the expected value identified upfront by the business. · The solution provides analytics in a way that has actionable insights. · The solution can be supported and maintained by the department in a sustainable way.
Experience/Education/Certification

Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field preferably with an area of focus on business intelligence and/or analytics and/or data engineering
3 - 5 years work experience with data engineering for visualization tools such as PowerBI and MicroStrategy or demonstrated experience with data engineering
3 - 5 years work experience with SQL - Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQL and in performance tuning of SQL.
Experience with Azure is a plus
Driven to understand business needs and processes, to analyze and understand data, to deliver actionable insights
Ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with great attention to detail
Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written/oral communication and presentation/interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated and able to work well in a dynamic, evolving team environment
