ABCINOAC Exterior Systems, LLC is wholly-owned subsidiary of INOAC USA, Inc.,whose parent company is INOAC Corporation Nagoya, Japan. The Fremont facility produces plasticexterior trim systems as a Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. Our core competencies include blow molding,injection molding and Class A painting. The majority of our products are produced entirely in house.

JOBTITLE: Technical Paint Supervisor


REPORTSTO: Paint Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Supervise the activities/operation of the Paint LinesActivities to assure that safety, quality, and utilization are achieved to thehighest standards of acceptance.


q Assureall personnel are following rules and regulations in regards to safety andcompany policy.

q Develop,teach, and train team members to excel in any position. (Cross-training).

q Assistin any area where help is needed.

q Assureparts are prepped properly prior to being sent into the system to be painted

q Verifyall robotic / fluid delivery equipment is operating properly and correctproblems quickly and efficiently.

q Understandquality standards and provide feedback to sprayers/fluid delivery/techs/mixersif there is a problem.

q Workclosely with other Dept. Supervisors to provide feedback on part quality comingin and going out of Paint.

q Provideassistance to Dept. Supervisors if needed.

q Followthrough and contain any trails for Process/Product Improvement that need to becompleted.

q Completereporting in a timely manner.

q Interfacewith suppliers, production and customers in paint/process improvements.

q Providesupport with Continuous Improvement Team activities.

q Participatein formal improvement team activities.

q Supportall departmental and organizational improvement initiatives in order to achievebusiness objectives.

q 70-85%of time will be on the shop floor related.

q Participatein IATF 16949-2016/ ISO 14001 activities or any other organizationalcertifications as needed

q Otheractivities as assigned by Management.


q Knowand follow all established job specific and facility wide health and safetyprocedures and rules.

q Bringhealth and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’sattention and correct them.

q Activelyparticipate in accident, injury, and illness prevention activities by:

q Developjob safety analysis and safe work procedures.

q Identifyand correct hazards and unsafe conditions.

q Conductingaccident, near-miss accident or potential hazards investigations

q Keepother employees aware of health and safety practices and activities by activelyobserving fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.

q Maintainhousekeeping in work areas.

q Activelyparticipate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based ontraining received.

q Participateactively in providing suggestions for health and safety program improvement.

q Knowand implement regulatory compliance requirements in their work area.

q UnderstandSpecific Paint Related Safety Concerns.

q Grounding.All opened containers being used must be grounded.

q Secondarycontainer labels must be used to identify any chemical/paint not in itsoriginal container

q ProperPaint Waste Collection and Disposal must be followed.


Standing,sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, use of hands toinspect parts, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, talking andhearing. Employee will occasionally lift and/or move product. Developmental training will be definedby the Department Manager and could be in-house or external to the company.


q Abilityto lead/train others.

q Abilityto hold people accountable.

q Safetyand quality oriented.

q HighSchool Diploma or equivalent is required.

q Mustpass Ishihara Color Test (Color Blindness) with a minimum score of 70.

q Mustpass the Color Acuity Test (Trays) with an average discriminationclassification and an error score between 20-100.

q Workingknowledge of automated bell and robotic spray applications on plastic parts.

q Workingknowledge of manual spray applications of 1K and 2K paints on plastic parts.

q Technicalknowledge of automated fluid delivery equipment including P-Mix and RCS.

q Computerskills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel,and Power Point.

q Excellentcommunication skills (verbal and written), organizational and time managementskills.

q UnderstandingX-Rite operation for color approvals.

q Requiresconsiderable knowledge of paint application and how to troubleshoot problemswith them.

q Ableto work any shift.

q Abilityto travel, possibly overnight (approx. >5% of the time).

q Abilityto maintain strict confidentiality.

q Understandsconflict management and how to handle difficult situations.

q Understandacceptable quality levels (AQL) on parts based on quality standards.


Mandatory safety training will be conducted with therequired time. Developmental trainingwill be defined by the Dept. Manager or Paint Engineers and could be in-houseor external to ABC Inoac Exterior Systems LCC.
