The Sales Support Project Engineer role provides the optimal opportunity to build a solid foundation for future sales or leadership opportunities through the knowledge gained from working with products, people and processes. - Act as a dedicated and reliable support resource for customers and Husky sales team
- Prepare proposals and quotations for customer review
- Identify potential solutions to customer needs
- Translate customer requirements to internal product specifications
- Maintain excellent communication with customers including direct follow up
- Monitor project progress through design and manufacturing
- Pro-actively communicate with customers and Husky Sales to ensure satisfaction of requirements
- Build relationships with customers by continually exceeding expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of professional work experience in mechanical or plastics engineering
- Strong organization, project management, and customer-centric communication skills
- Experience with injection molding processing technology or mold assembly/design
- Hot Runner design experience
This role is responsible for supporting customers and the Husky sales team by managing Hot Runner and Controller projects from initial opportunity review through shipment. Project Engineers are accountable for making accurate product recommendations based on application, preparing quotations, translating customer requirements, and monitoring the project progress through the facility. This role involves routine interface with customers, sales, design, scheduling and manufacturing and thus requires a highly motivated candidate who is customer-focused with strong project management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate has a strong sense of accountability, is detail oriented, and exhibits a commitment to excellence.
