ABB Power Grids is currently seeking a Process Engineer for its Jefferson City, Missouri location.
Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, testing, installation, andservice (while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and/or other pertinent information).
Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats, and generalinstructions.
Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents, & reports.
Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposedapplication, and recommend revisions (as appropriate).
Plan, conduct, or coordinate relatively straight-forward engineering analyses & tests; this will also involve preparation ofrelated reports & summaries for review.
Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and CAPA (Corrective andPreventative Actions) to avoid recurrences.
Additional duties may be assigned, as required.
Bachelor’s Degree and up to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment; OR
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment
Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields and 5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment preferred
Experience working in broad aspects of manufacturing operations (Quality, Production, Operations, Maintenance,Engineering, etc.) – rotational experience is a plus
Recent experience working with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, 4Q, ProcessImprovement, Continuous Improvement, DMAIC, Gemba/Genba, etc.) preferred
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
