The Water Rides Team is looking for a Junior Engineer, Engineer in Training to deliver exciting water-based amusement park rides to customers around the world. We are currently looking for an EIT to help meet increasing demands in a fast paced global market. This is an up to 8 month contract position with a possible extension or opportunity to be hired permanently.
Reporting to the Water Rides Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of the team, supporting development and delivery of amusement park rides. Using excellent organizational skills and ability to learn quickly and independently, you will prioritize a variety of tasks while ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
YOUR ROLE:
Product Development
Create new ride components in a team environment, with consideration of manufacturability and an eye for aesthetics
Draw on experience and imagination to develop concepts and help establish design requirements
Perform testing and analysis to ensure robust designs
Produce high quality 3D CAD models and drawings, in accordance with company standards and conventions
Technical Support
React quickly and communicate effectively to support clients around the world
Participate in RCA and failure investigations
Accurately document issues and resolutions
Project Engineering
Assist Project Engineer with coordination of activities and deliverables
Perform BoM management, procurement, and logistics tasks as required
Continuous Improvement
Help create and maintain Engineering processes and documentation
Transition existing designs from legacy systems into PDM database
YOU BRING:
Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field of Engineering
In lieu of a completed degree, enrollment in an accredited program and at least 3 years of Engineering education or experience
Hands-on experience of a technical nature
Proficient with SolidWorks and MS Office
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Able to travel worldwide without restrictions
Naturally creative and curious with a desire to learn and share knowledge
Demonstrated capacity to learn quickly and independently
Ability to effectively listen, communicate, and collaborate with a diverse array of people
Detail oriented with a high standard of quality
