We are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer to contribute to the planning, execution, development, and test of complex control hardware in new Moog products. The Associate Engineer will operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other department engineers. The primary job functions include working with electrical and mechanical engineers to select materials, define stack-ups, and specify necessary physical and electrical constraints for multi-layer PCB designs. This includes part placement and signal routing in a 3D environment, employing a rules-driven design methodology necessary to achieve a highly integrated custom solution. Additional activities will be in supporting the design and test of digital systems while being mentored by other project, system or design engineers.
Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:
Design and develop new printed circuit boards and schematics.
Prepare assembly drawings, parts lists, and bills of material necessary for procurement of circuit boards.
Create, verify, and import schematic symbols, 3D models, and component.
Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
Support supplier discussion and participate in customer reviews.
Minimum Associates Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology (or similar)
Proficiency with a common industry PCB Layout software suite (Mentor Graphics, Altium, Cadence/Allegro, Other).
An understanding of IPC requirements necessary to design and document PCB designs.
Working understanding of PCB manufacturing process, fabrication, materials choices, and processing.
Ability to identify risks and issues and to provide appropriate solutions.
