HR Sinclair in Sinclair WY is seeking a Process Engineer will be accountable for the process health, optimization and management for their assigned unit(s). Should have general knowledge of all process units in the Refinery.
Develop well written technical reports and deliver well-structured oral presentations.
Provide process training to unit personnel.
Utilize process design skills to develop process support packages for Refinery projects.
Improve and maintain good unit weight balance.
Conduct unit performance tests to update or validate the Linear Program (LP) and HYSYS models.
Participate in unit Product Hazard Analysis; participate and on occasion lead incident investigations.
Initiate and support Management of Change to properly document changes made in process unit.
Continuously evaluating process to identify process and control improvements.
Provide turn-around support for area of responsibility and back-up support for the general refinery.
Track energy usage and make recommendations to reduce utility cost for the process unit.
Monitor corrosion and chemical treatment programs in area of responsibility.
Process trouble-shooting as issues occur.
Track catalyst activity and predict end-of-run. Includes catalyst replacement selection and purchase.
Give guidance, understanding economics, to unit supervisor on optimization for area of responsibility.
Monitor the process unit on daily basis for general health and performance.
Follow through on commitments made by others.
Create and maintain a well-organized and professional looking area.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Accredited Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical) or Chemistry is required. Three or more years of relevant work experience preferred.
