Description:Mechanical Design Engineering Associate. Entry level Mechanical Design Engineer needed to support design, fabrication, and procurement activities associated with a challenging Production and / or Development type program. The engineer will be responsible for:

Performing conceptual / detail design, drawing revisions / release and engineering change notice creation.

Develop / revise hardware standard repair procedures.

Perform engineering liaison activities during hardware fabrication / procurement.

Hardware design development will require:
Basic design, assembly and installation modeling using a 3D CAD Software tool (PRO/E CREO 3) and creation of 2D production type drawings

Coordination with other engineering disciplines

Tolerance analysis

Interface with other functional departments (manufacturing engineering, production operations, quality assurance, materials)

Vendor / supplier coordination

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Must have ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:
Must have the ability to travel

Mechanical Engineer with conceptual and detail design skills, knowledge of mechanical drawing standards and experience with detail, assembly, and installation type 2D drawings

Candidate must have experience using a 3D CAD modeling software

Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes

Computer Aided Design skills using PRO Engineer / CREO 3 Software

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and working in an inclusive, team environment. Considered a developing talent, and still a learner.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills
