We are looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for leading and driving process improvement and problem solving projects within the plant. The focus is on sustainable systems for measurement, new products and processes, process capability, internal compliance, as well as formal Qualpro 1-7 and MVT projects or using statistical SPC and DOE training or elements of six sigma or other training.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serves as a technical resource for day to day operations, troubleshooting, and production and quality support. Helps lead the execution of Quality and Process Improvement projects and activities, using standard PI tools such as Qualpro, MVT/DOE, Kepner Tregoe PSDM. Uses Hierarchy of values (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) in prioritizing. Plans and executes capital improvements resulting from these projects.
Leads process design reviews, raw material qualification and product and process qualification and capability studies. Performs PPA/FMEA on all major process and raw material changes.
Partly responsible for training production personnel on Statistical Process Control (SPC) and training guidelines to ensure operators understand and can interpret data and problems in their areas of the machine that are raw material or process related. Leads the application and interpretation of SPC charting and use of quality systems such as Win SPC, Qualtrend, Braincube, or SQL trends.
Trains and educates personnel on company products, plant and corporate quality policies and procedures; including internal and external personnel, suppliers and customers.
Conducts internal compliance audits of production tests, process specifications, plant change notices (PCN’s) and other in-plant processes. Responsible for maintaining process specifications, test procedures etc.
Coordinates Plant Trials with R&D and plant personnel. Ensures trials are accurately conducted, reported, and cost efficient.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
One to three years of demonstrated experience in an industrial continuous process atmosphere
