Analyst Programmer II or
Senior Analyst Programmer
Full-time, Regular, Exempt Position
The University of Maine System is seeking to hire an Analyst or Senior Analyst Programmer. This is an advanced technical position that provides analytical and programming support of information systems for the University of Maine System as a whole. The Analyst/Senior Analyst Programmer will be responsible for designing, planning, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining of custom enterprise applications and extensions to existing enterprise applications. The position may also be responsible for training and documentation on these systems and development workflow. Additionally, the Senior Analyst Programmer position requires the ability to mentor junior staff and oversight of junior staff tasks. Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is low $50's to mid $60's plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. The UMS Web Applications Development Team is a small group located across the state who are responsible for development of custom applications, integrations, and ETL processes for the University of Maine System. Our primary duty is to create, update, and maintain functional pieces of software that meet the needs of the UMS community. This includes everything from moving data to extending existing software to writing entirely new software from scratch.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications for Analyst Programmer II:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
One to three years of experience as a programmer in a development or operational support capacity or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications for Senior Analyst Programmer:
Three to five years of experience as an Analyst Programmer, or equivalent programming/analysis position
Experience in Higher Education.
Experience programming database driven applications.
Three or more years’ experience writing secure web applications.
Experience with Peoplesoft technologies used at the University of Maine System such as Oracle Databases, SQL, PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine programming, Application Package programming, Query, Application Messaging and Java programming.
