This position is responsible for providing specialized support for the Industrial Engineering team by summarizing, keying, recording, reviewing, auditing, and reporting daily/weekly productivity and for computing weekly associate production bonuses and forwarding information to Payroll as part of the weekly payroll process. Daily and weekly production and productivity performance reporting is essential for proper Operations management. Weekly incentive processing must be completed in adherence with weekly payroll deadlines
Collect time and production reporting data from all production areas. Review and ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the data collected and reported. Research and communicate with Operations Management to resolve issues found. Provide feedback to the IE team and secure corrections from Operations Management.
Compile and summarize production data from manual and systems reporting, and reformat data for key entry while using established production standards provided by the Industrial Engineering team, on a daily basis for all DC operational areas.
Key production data from all DC production departments into PC-based GoalPost productivity tracking application in strict adherence to daily and weekly deadlines.
Collect weekly accuracy performances from critical production areas. Key accuracy data into PC-based GoalPost productivity tracking application on a weekly basis as part of productivity performance and incentive processing.
Review, research and correct production recording and data entry errors as indicated by the Industrial Engineering staff to improve overall accuracy on a daily basis.
Prepare and execute prior week processing to provide correcting measures for requests brought to their attention by upper management.
Assemble, generate, file, and publish individual and team productivity performance and incentive reporting to Operations Management within a fixed schedule to provide daily performance feedback.
Make necessary modifications as indicated by the Industrial Engineering staff to support related production tracking and incentive systems. Also, make recommendations to the Engineers on ways to simplify time/production sheets, which save the company time and money.
Utilize PC-based GoalPost productivity tracking application to research and resolve questions from management regarding associate’s performance or incentive pay.
Maintain operation and system parameter information in the GoalPost system including setting up new hires and terminations. Maintain and archive productivity documents.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to key 7500 ksph
Knowledge of standard PC software including Word and Excel
Ability to effectively work with all levels of GPSC associates, supervisors and management
Basic understanding of GPSC operations
Must be detail oriented with good organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to accurately work with statistical data and to identify inconsistencies and problem areas
Ability to learn and use basic engineering concepts as related to incentive program performance and bonus calculations
Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
Excellent attendance with the flexibility to work overtime as needed
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent cooperation and teamwork with the ability to accept change on a daily basis
Specific knowledge of GoalPost or other LMS applications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years previous data entry or payroll experience in an office or professional environment
4-6 years previous data entry or payroll experience in an office or professional environment
Experience with engineered standards or productivity measurement and reporting
