Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations, and working with other, key manufacturing, engineering and logistics staff, as Production Specialist, you will:
Assist in production planning and scheduling.
Assist in leading the activities of engineering staff.
Assist in product design and development.
Value Stream Map the entire process from order acceptance to shipping.
Implement information control gateways in the factory to manage customer orders.
Utilize company’s ERP to generate shop floor reporting.
Refresh and launch CI (5S, shadow boarding, basic lean training) with linkage to corrective action program.
Identify critical Quality control points in the manufacturing process.
Implement at source quality checks for the control points.
Implement ECN process (engineering change notification).
Develop cost tracking methodologies.
What the successful candidate will bring:
Mechanical/Industrial technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated familiarity and experience in Continuous Improvement in Production Management.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Outstanding leadership skills including people development, conflict management and collaborative decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization.
Detail oriented with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively in a timely manner.
Ability to adapt to and re-prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
Exceptional math skills with superior Excel spreadsheet skills and MS Suite knowledge.
