RPI Group, Inc. is searching for a Network Engineer to provide RFID infrastructure, LAN/WAN and wireless networking subject matter expertise to support our Marine Corps client. This position is located in Albany, GA.

The Network Engineer should possess the knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the following duties:

Responsible for configuration, testing, and maintenance of RFID readers, antennas, security interface devices and associated peripherals
This includes network designs for wired and wireless networks to include site surveys, WiFi access point locations, antennas and cabling.
Support the design, install, and test of a RFID infrastructure
Designs, builds, and implements network systems.
Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning input.
Manages the testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
Provides input for system-level design and configuration of products including determinations of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications.
Ability to perform two or more additional functions such as, but not limited to, network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities.
Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
Provide weekly status reports and attend weekly meetings as required.

Qualifications

The following items are required for consideration:
Ability to maintain an active Secret security clearance
A minimum of 8 years’ relevant technical experience
IAT Level II certification, preferably CompTIA Security+

Preferred

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
ITIL v3 Foundations certification
Training and professional level certification in one, or more technical disciplines related to network engineering and operations. Additional training in one, or more technical disciplines related to network engineering and operations (i.e., Cisco, Aruba, juniper, Wireshark, etc.).
