PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Support the design, development, and launch of camera components and products.

Support the manufacturing and validation of camera components and products.

Contribute to a friendly, cooperative and accountable team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, specify, design, and develop camera components, including image sensors, optics, and mechanicals, in accordance with product strategies & roadmaps.

Develop test specifications, methods, and tools for component functionality, performance and quality assurance.

Develop and support proof of concept and prototype components and systems.

Support size, cost, and performance optimizations.

Provide camera subject matter expertise and interfacing to Customer, Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Validation Laboratory teams.

Work with internal and external teams to advance camera component technologies and applications.

Study and define system level impact of component changes.

Review components, products, and processes with peer teams to ensure commercial and operational viability.

Prepare technical documentation for internal and external customers.

Participate in cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.

Participate in continuing education activities, attend trade shows, conferences and seminars, and build professional relationships within the assigned technology area and industry.

Research and support new technology assimilation, including internal R&D, partnerships, investment opportunities, acquisitions, licensing, etc.

POSITION DEMANDS:
B.S. degree in a ME, CE, CS and EE preferred.

Ability to debug complex systems, isolate root causes, and demonstrate solutions.

Ability to analyze and explain multivariate data sets.

Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Ability to prioritize activity across multiple projects and customers

Ability to design and develop software and hardware tools for data acquisition and analysis.

Proficiency in communication, documentation, and time management.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Software development (C/C++, MATLAB, Windows/Linux Scripting).

Version Control Systems (Git, SVN).

Demonstrated expertise across image sensor technology, optics, software development, and image processing.

Machine computer vision.

Background in general statistical methods.
