Fore Aero, local aircraft parts supplier in the DFW Metroplex area has an immediate opening for a process engineer.
Fore Aero has special processes within their facilities that include CAD plating, powder coating, chew-film, black oxide, and paint. Fore Aero is in the process of starting up a penetrant and magna flux line.
Responsible for designing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing manufacturing processes especially continuous improvements within the aircraft manufacturing environment across two facilities.
Manufactures products by supervising staff, organizing, and monitoring workflow.
Responsible for overseeing the equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor.
Manages the processing team, oversees scheduling and day-to-day production activities in process areas.
Primarily in charge of ensuring the process line is operational and maintaining the ongoing production of products.
Responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Creating process specs for processes
Submit frozen planning to accommodate changes in processes where applicable
Develop/design, implement and monitor equipment (optimization) for process improvements aligning with cost reduction initiatives.
Work directly with customers, production staff and management identifying and recommending opportunities for innovative changes.
Data collection, interpretation and writing report to support NADCAP certification accreditation.
Develop Key Process Indicator (KPI) metrics for processes to ensure efficiency and quality remains high.
Develop risk assessment for equipment and processes including safety within the plant for staff and environmental impacts.
Maintains quality compliance for contractual and regulatory requirements.
Critical/logical thinking to locate problems and assess for best solution.
Excellent computer skills -essential part of this role for reporting.
Excellent communication skills – working with people across the manufacturing process, customers, suppliers and reporting to management.
3-5 years experience as a process engineer, prefer aircraft industry
5-10 years experience as process engineer in aircraft industry.
