Position Summary
Our Structural Designers at SSOE are essential, working closely with our project teams, project managers and clients. The Struct. Designers are more than mere draftsmen, they implement the designs of the lead engineers in both 2D and 3D environments, often working out the practical distribution solutions and coordinating with multiple disciplines. They operate in a highly visual based system and are often the backbone of the production of our construction documents. Structural Designers can expect to support projects involving static and dynamic loading, facility roof framing, multi-floor & mezzanine and foundation designs covering a wide range of expertise and levels of detail

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes sketches, notes and other input materials to determine and plan the best approach to prepare drawings.
Develop and design structural building systems in 2D and 3D software platforms
Develop Construction Documents
Support Structural Engineering leaders
Apply design fundamentals to total systems or sub-systems.
Work under supervision with work until completion
Solve design and coordination issues
Occasional performance of structural calculations for the review of the project design leads

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / RELATED / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors in Structural / Civil Engineering preferred
1-2 yrs experience in related work
Revit and AutoCAD experience preferred
Basic understanding of Construction Documents and Details
Intermediate English conversational skill
High Attention to Detail
