Position Summary and Responsibilities
Teledyne is looking for a Hypersonic Wind Tunnel Chief Engineer with eighteen (18) plus years of experience working wind tunnel design, facility upgrades, test planning for each project / customer. Program management experience is a plus.
The applicant will have spent much of their career working with or designing high speed (Mach 1 – Mach 10) aircraft, airfoils, sub-scaled wind tunnel test articles, wind tunnel air flow inlets / outlets for each test objective.
Experience designing test plans that involves both test regimes and Mach / temp profiles, and top level instrumentation selection and practices to feed to the test conductor and the instrumentation team.
Education and Experience
Eighteen (18) years plus years of experience
MS or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or related discipline
Active SECRET Clearance is preferred. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
Experience in high pressure systems, high temperature piping, oxidizing materials, valves and compatibility experience.
Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.
