Company: A-Zone Environmental Services, LLC, an environmental consulting and services firm, is seeking an Environmental Geologist or Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing team.A master’s degree may be substituted for experience. This position is located out of our Charles Town, WV office.

Job Description: The selected candidate willprovide support on various environmental projects. This position will support a variety of contracts, including federal, state, local, and commercial clients. Duties will include task management, remediation system operations and maintenance, assisting with implementation of a wide range of remediation technologies, field sampling and investigations, and will require extensive outdoor work as well as overnight travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of report figures and graphs.
  • Supervise and participate in remediation system installation and modification.
  • Perform data uploads to client database systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of report figures and graphs.
  • Prepare draft technical reports and summaries for review by project manager.
  • Coordinates with management and field staff in completing project schedules and deadlines.
  • Preparing project and cost proposals with assistance and review from senior personnel.
  • Communication and coordination with clients, regulators and sub-contractors.
  • Assist in developing, budgeting and managing a wide variety of projects.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • 2-4 years environmental consulting or related experience.
  • Previous experience with site investigations, remediation system oversight and/or maintenance, and field sampling.
  • Must possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment as well as work on tasks with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Engineering required as well as 2-4 years of relevant experience. A master’s degree is preferred and can be substituted for some experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

A valid driver’s license is required and a safe driving record as measured by company policy. 40-hour HAZWOPER, current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher, and 8-hour HAZWOPER supervisor training is preferred. Employment is dependent upon the findings of a background check.

Physical Requirements: Work may be performed under extreme weather conditions including hot and cold ambient temperatures.Tasks involve bending, lifting, walking, carrying and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds. Employment is dependent upon passing drug screening and physical examination by medical professional for the anticipated work requirements.

Salary: This is a full-time, salaried position.Pay is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
