As our Seams Administration Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering calculations necessary for processing transmission service requests and congestion management. You will also perform tasks and analysis associated with Market to Market, flowgate coordination with neighbors, and performing quarterly/yearly/monthly power flow studies.
Additionally, as our Seams Administration Engineer, you will be part of a great team that has the unique opportunity to work with neighboring RTOs on a daily basis, to review and negotiate market outcomes as well as interacting with various business areas from planning to operations.
Lastly, as our Seams Administration Engineer, you will be provided with opportunities to impact Market to Market outcome reviews, flowgate requests processing, and process improvements to Seams Administration processes.
In one year, you will know you’re successful if:
We are looking for talented professionals who have:
- You are able to join and support Seams Administration on-all duties
- You can perform analysis on Market to Market binding events and identify and resolve issues
- You can carry out the coordination with neighboring RTOs on flowgate and Market to Market
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR two years of applicable internal MISO experience with a related engineering degree
- Two years of related power system engineering, planning, or system modeling experience
- The ability and willingness to work a 24x7 on-call schedule
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
