Arcadis is looking to hire a Junior Cost Engineer to support our Industrial Infrastructure - Project and Program Services Team at our client site in Whiting, Indiana.
As a Junior Cost Engineer, you will work directly with Senior Cost Engineers, Project Controls Managers and Project Managers on various petroleum refinery projects. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost information for cashflow and cost management.
Assist the Senior Cost Engineer or Project Controls Manager in preparing and issuing periodic cost reports
Assist the Project Controls Manager with developing cashflow projections and reviewing financial closeout documentation
Input Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order Process information into SAP
Collect data from Purchase Orders and invoices and input the information into the cost report
Support data collection for invoice accruals
Facilitate, monitor and track Change Orders and maintain Change Order Logs
Maintain WBS Coding and logs
Monitor actual cost on a weekly basis
Deliver accurate, informative, well-organized documentation
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to identify project status
Desired skills and experience:
Experience using financial system’s (SAP or equivalent)
Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes (graphs & data visualization, pivot tables, etc.)
Expertise with Microsoft Power BI systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
6 months of applicable experience
Professional license AACEI CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMI PMP (Project Management Professional)
OSHA 10 certification
