ABOUT THE JOB
We have ambitious goals to change the world and do cool things, and we are looking for an experienced troubleshooter who is passionate about making good robots. This role will focus on testing our various robotic platforms and developments within our lab and in the field. Tasks will range from technical supporting, writing code, communicating updates, identifying bugs and debugging robots, assisting in the development of new products and features, and will have an emphasis on clear communication with external stakeholders and between our multidisciplinary team.

Must-haves:
Excellent communication skills, report writing, documentation skills
Mastery of English, written and oral (you are a fluent or native speaker)
Proficient with C++ and Python
Excellent skills with Linux command line interface (BASH or ZSH)
Successfully graduated with a technology diploma or technical degree
High-level of organization - must be a detailed-oriented, "on it" person
Able and willing to work weekends and night shifts. Due to the nature of testing schedules, this job schedule is typically 6pm to 3am
Able to work as part of a diverse team, while also being able to work independently and with minimal supervision

Nice-to-haves:
Proven you are a master gamer with exceptional hand-eye coordination
Monitored and managed a significant number of servers (ideally Linux)
Experience with robotics and electronics
Interdisciplinary knowledge and experience in both a technological and business/customer service capacities
Experience working with Docker
A good working knowledge of web protocols and of the AWS infrastructure
BONUS points if you are fluent in any of the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, German or Vulcan

Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and success of robots that are deployed on customer sites
Communicate clearly and proactively with team members and customers to maintain performance standards and response times
Remotely diagnose and troubleshoot system errors in real-time, and issuing commands if required
Take concise yet detailed documentation of results and operations on a daily basis
Manage the collection of data for further R&D and improvement
Communicate and collaborate with other software and hardware engineers, through sketches, block diagrams, flow charts, and technical writing
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of engineering research, developments, experiments, purchases, etc.
Occasionally participate in presentations to stakeholders
