Director Learning and Development Market Access
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Learning and Development Market Access, are to:
Manage the team of Associate Directors of Market Access Training to ensure quality of their training deliverables, timeliness of adhering to agreed upon project milestones, consistent alignment of training and business needs and oversight of day-to-day management of the team;
Plans, develops, and delivers brand and customer strategy aligned training programs to the MM Account team including but not limited to: clinical and product training, business acumen programs, advanced training courses, and skill training. This entails the creation and delivery of programs for the new as well as tenured account managers;
Manages Market Access Training budget and oversees the impacts of those costs on driving business and enhancing BU skills;
Develops and maintains strong relationships with Managed Markets teams, internal business partners (legal, regulatory, marketing, medical, Sales Training, etc.), and other partners, i.e., Health Economics and Outcomes Research, as needed;
Maintains thorough understanding of the account managers’ customers and proactively stays current with industry trends within the Healthcare space, training approaches, and technology;
Applies creative and technology enhanced ways to transfer information and knowledge to geographically dispersed account team;
Develops and implements POA workshops in conjunction with Managed Markets MSD’s, Payer Marketing team, etc.;
Partners with all levels within Managed Markets to identify and discuss future training needs based on marketplace/healthcare trends and customer needs; contributes to the design of training interventions for account managers with sales management;
Actively participates in MM Leadership and Staff meetings;
Identifies curriculum synergies of training programs and events for other field sales teams initiated by Sales Training.
WHO YOU ARE
Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience;
5 years of Managed Markets Account Manager experience with 2-3 years in Managed Care, calling on state, regional and national payers (or equivalent experience);
2 years experience in Training or equivalent;
Solid foundational knowledge of the healthcare landscape/management and current with changes;
Excellent selling skills and ability to build and maintain relationships;
Excellent project and time management skills;
Competencies include: excellent communication skills, interpersonal savvy, listening, platform skills, planning, business acumen, action orientation, and functional/technical skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft software, web based technologies, and software programs;
Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 30 %.
Experience managing account managers;
3+ years of team management experience;
Knowledge of an LMS a plus.
