Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the process Engineer is a key member of the engineering team.

Provide indirect leadership to other quality team members and project leadership for continuous improvement and corrective action teams
Ensure daily production is running optimally, in terms of defined KPIs related to output, quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
Able to effectively work in a dynamic environment where coordination with other functional groups is necessary. Must be self-motivated and flexible to learn and respond to changing responsibilities and priorities while meeting high quality requirements within a tight schedule.
Develop, train and execute upon “standard work” procedures/activities.
Leader for continuous improvement teams utilizing Six Sigma & Lean techniques that improve key metrics (cost of quality, customer complaint metrics, yield).
Drive process quality improvements working with Process Engineering through the implementation of automated process controls, SPC, sampling systems, enhanced manufacturing procedures and utilization of statistical techniques. Audit process controls implemented for compliance.
Participate in the SPC/Data Logging system with the goal of reducing variability in the process; implement, coordinate and execute testing/trials ensuring process variability is minimized.
Ensure identification of root cause of failures and subsequent prevention of issues that could lead to future customer complaints.
Assist in the development and execution of strategies for qualification and validation activities.
Ability to use 4D and 8D problem solving methodology system
Develop analytical reports to meet customer requirements
Assist Sales and Operations with Customer requirements and specifications as it relates to process capability.
Join customer audits and participate in customer visit teams
Basic understanding of change management practices in a regulated, controlled environment.
Identify and drive opportunities for improvement, making constructive suggestions to improve process effectiveness, product quality and operating efficiency.
Quality Management System:
Work with the manufacturing engineering team and operations to maintain the Non-conforming Material Process (NMR) and develop actions to reduce non-conformances through Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
Provide support for the Quality Management System which includes Document Control, Calibration, Corrective & Preventative Actions, Complaints, etc
Implement and modify procedures to include processing, quality and equipment improvements.
Train and inform company personnel on quality standards and procedures.
Lead the generation and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and equipment arrangements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field - engineering, metallurgy, material science, chemistry or chemical engineering degree required.
Prefer Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification or 2-3yrs of Continuous Improvement experience.
Prefer experience and knowledge of manufacturing systems, the quality function and technical products.
Further experience with SAP, calibration techniques, SPC software, will be beneficial for the role.
