iTomography Corporation (Houston, TX; www.itomography.com | A bout iTomo) has an immediate
opening for a Scientific Programmer & Software Engineer to participate in the development of novel
imaging algorithms and software technologies. We are looking for self-motivated professionals with a
strong combination of mathematics, physics, and programming skills. The position provides opportunities
to address some of the most challenging imaging problems faced by major manufacturers and end-users of
medical, radiotherapy, pre-clinical, microscopy, security, and industrial scanners. It will allow for
professional development by working closely with Prof. Alexander Katsevich (iTomography CTO and
world-leading CT scientist), our technical team, and leading experts of our customers, in the areas of CT and
other imaging modalities.
Education, Experience & Qualifications (Candidate may possess some and not all of the following)
BS or MS in applied mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or other related
field. Knowledge of CT Imaging and machine learning is a plus.
Ideal candidate will have minimum one year related experience and/or training, preferably in a product
development and/or R&D University environments.
Hands-on programming experience in C++, Python, and Matlab. Experience with GPU programming is
Ability to apply concepts from the following mathematics and physics Fields: mathematical analysis
(differentiation and integration); linear algebra; numerical analysis, statistics, optimization methods;
digital signal and image processing; and radiation physics.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze software requirements documentation and consult with the imaging algorithm author.
Formulate software designs using industry best practices and document it appropriately.
Implement the software design by coding.
Execute the test plan to verify the coded software; deliver test reports.
Timely delivery of comprehensive product documentation with test examples.
Participate in communication with company management and clients.
