Job Role and Responsibility

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide support to partners and customers, using VMware products, in isolating, diagnosing, reproducing and fixing technical issues in a timely manner.

Daily Functions:
Resolve customer issues via the telephone, email or remote session
Regular follow ups with customers with recommendations, updates and action plans.
Escalate issues in a timely manner according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Leverage internal technical expertise, including peers, mentors, knowledge base
Create new knowledge base articles
Document case work accurately to ensure the correct level of detail is available for colleagues.
Required Skills

Personality:
A motivated self-starter, self-learner, and embraces challenges
Logical approach to problem solving
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies

Previous Experience:
Relevant military experience/training or IT certifications or a relevant college degree

Entry level to expert level of knowledge in any of the below:
Linux and/or Windows systems administration
Networking (Routing, switching, IP Protocols)
Databases and/or Storage
Scripting (ex. Python, Perl, Bash, Shell)
VMWare or virtualization products
