A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you arrive each day ready to lead your team in delivering high-quality products and services. Your leadership skills are essential as you direct team members at all levels of contract administration. Using your outstanding multitasking skills, you control a number of projects at various stages of work. You review records and input entries into the proper accounts. Your eye for detail ensures that everything is accurate.
To determine the functional and spatial requirements of new construction or renovations, you consult with clients. You enjoy meeting new people and make sure that our customers feel heard. Then, you prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. You are determined to make sure that we stay organized, under budget, and on schedule. You feel good about the part you play in ensuring PLS's overall quality and exceeding customer expectations.
Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction science/construction management 8+ years of related experience in mechanical, governmental, municipality and/or institutional projects.
Experience managing projects up to $8,000,000 in value.
Army Corps of Engineers experience a plus.
This is a full-time position that will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, our Mechanical Project Manager must be available on-call during early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the job site.
