We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician I to support our Newport, RI customer. This is a contingent opportunity – contingent upon successful contract award.

A successful applicant must possess skills & abilities necessary to support a full range of mechanical and/or electrical technician tasks. They will have mechanical/electrical aptitude. Tasks assembling and refurbishing mechanical/electrical hardware, interfacing with design engineers to verify compliance with design/operational specs and parameters, as well as interfacing with United States Navy Fleet personnel for problem identification and resolution. The applicant will support interoperability and compatibility testing as specified by Branch and Division engineers. The applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and via written communications, including test reports, problem resolution recommendations, and reports. Computer skills are a plus, as is knowledge of military protocol and familiarity with submarine launching systems.

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination.

Education: High School/Vocational School diploma or GED Certificate.

Candidates must be clearable. Ideal candidates will possess an active secret clearance.
