·Provide engineering support on projects including feasibility, benefit analysis, planning, designing, costing, purchasing, installation, post installation and project closing.
·Design and perform projects with an emphasis EH&S, robustness, functional utility and maintainability.
·Support Production, Process Engineering and Maintenance in reviewing projects for their feasibility & operability.
·Troubleshoots process and equipment when failures occur. Perform root cause analysis of repeating problems. Assist maintenance with repairs.
·Use and manage contractors on processes and projects to ensure work is performed to specifications and implemented as planned. Ensure all security and EHS policies are followed by contractors.
·Be a technical resource to managers, supervisors, maintenance and operators.
·Provide technical support relating to the testing and procurement of prototype equipment.
·Develop PFD’s, P&ID’s and necessary drawings for approval, planning, procurement, installation and continued maintenance of assigned projects.
·Assemble CAPEX on projects for financial approval. Provide necessary documentation to show business benefit expected.
·Provide technical support for various EH&S initiatives, continuous improvement activities, cost reduction activities, process improvement activities.
·Perform and participate in hazard analysis, MOC and /or risk assessments on projects if required.
·Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
·Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field.
·Demonstrated experience with AutoCad/Solidworks.
·Strong project management skills in understanding how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow; can measure work and see opportunities for synergy and integration; can simplify complex process and gets more out of fewer resources.
·PLC experience preferred.
·Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Efficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.
·Ability to design and develop layout drawings, P&ID’s, and process flow diagrams.
·Demonstrated problem solving ability working with internal departments to resolve issues.
·Strong organizational skill and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and competing priorities.
·Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills with ability to work with a wide variety of people internally and externally.
·Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize work and ensure task completion.
·Must be a self-starter that can work well independently as well as a part of a team.
·Perform required tasks at a high level of proficiency and accuracy.
·Demonstrates high ethical standards with honesty and integrity in upholding the requirements of the position.
