We are currently seeking an Associate Systems Specialist for custom application development. This person will work effectively to provide technical support for developing and supporting business applications including the development, integration, and support of internally developed and 3rd party applications. This position will include project related tasks, with opportunity to build expertise related to relational and non-relational databases, latest web development technologies, overall service delivery and customer satisfaction. This will require interaction with business users and the need to work as a team member of a large IT support team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides technical development and support for custom business applications.
Collaborates with customers to ascertain system specifications and business/technical requirements to create specification documents that meet business needs.
Responsible for completion of all required Change Management tasks and relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable).
Utilize industry accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project life cycle (when applicable).
Acquire and utilizes business knowledge by taking advantage of available resources (internet, books, periodicals, classes/workshops, conferences, etc.) to develop and deliver business solutions.
Tracking deliverable and provide reporting to management as needed.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in MIS, CS, CIS, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related technical degree is required.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience with .NET and MVC development.
Strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts is preferred.
Experience with 1 or more web frameworks to build modern web applications preferred.
Ability to manage project issues and risks throughout the project.
Strong understanding of Microsoft software.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work and communicate with all levels of staff, management and executives.
Experience working in a multi-developer, team environment is preferred.
Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) is preferred.
Ability to travel 10".
