Electrical Engineer

Clerio Vision is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead the effort in the design, analysis and implementation of electrical systems into a groundbreaking medical device. The ideal candidate should have prior mechanical and optical engineering experience to be able to understand and contribute to the design ideas and process. This position reports to the program manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands and implements designs from technical drawings; electrical cabling - designing, and assembling to designs
  • Generates product documentation and records
  • Inspects electrical components
  • Tests electronics for problems and proposes solutions
  • Familiarity with the product design process
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E

· Develops and validates information needed for engineering analysis and applies engineering judgment to solve complex technical problems

  • Support development and evaluation of complex system designs including developing advanced manufacturing platforms with increased scalability and throughput

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics or related field
  • Experience with optical systems, including mounting, alignment, and handling of optical components,
  • Knowledge of interface development with electric power systems and the control parameters applicable for a medical device application
  • Proficiency with common electrical, electronic, software, mechanical, and optical diagnostic tools, and
  • Familiarity with GD&T, CAD, and computational analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with highly regulated engineering environments (e.g. medical, defense, aerospace, etc.),
  • Experience with high powered lasers and/or ultrafast lasers
