REHAU is seeking an ambitious, experienced Paint Process Engineer for its North American Automotive business operations. Specific job tasks include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
The Process Engineer / Technician coordinates technical activities in the production area (primarily paint application) and is the initial contact regarding the introduction of new articles. The Process Engineer oversees TVK / STAKA management, recommends SPEM ideas, and supervises either the robot programming or paint kitchen personnel and activities.

Important Individual Tasks:
Understanding the paint process and TVK / STAKA values related to each process step
Review and analyze plant and process engineering documents for handover (capability studies, measurements, work instructions etc.) for tools, equipment, and paint processes
Generate and maintain an action plan for handover (in case of conditional handover)
Determine and plan samples, adjustments, and trials
Organize handover change management
Support production with process problems
Cross-plant support with solving of problems and adjustments as well as with capacity bottlenecks
Supervise, train, and direct either robot programmers or paint kitchen personnel
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent paint application experience
Programming experience
Paint application for class A surfaces
Moderate MS Office / Outlook experience
Moderate to advanced MS Excel experience
Familiarity with PCDispo a plus
Understanding of critical paint specifications and desired qualities a plus
