MRA is currently seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Project Manager for our Baltimore City Architectural group having experience and broad knowledge in defense and life science projects. The successful candidate will have entrepreneurial skills and is expected to both service an active client base as well as grow this market sector within the firm. We require a high degree of communication with clients and user groups, candidates that are passionate about architecture, have a strong design sensibility and appreciate the process of establishing and leading teams in the design process. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading several projects concurrently.

Bachelor of Architecture degree, Master’s degree a plus
10 -15 years’ experience in architecture
Excellent written and communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; good planning skills
Knowledge of building codes
Lead/assists a project team in development of the aesthetic and technical design and the preparation of architectural design and construction documents including drawings and specifications.
Collaborates with or serves as the Project Designer for the design of the project.
Leads in organizing the drawing, BIM modeling efforts.
Develops, checks and coordinates technical aspects of the design of a project.
Prepares the project code review with other senior staff and consultant input.
Coordinates with consulting engineer’s documents and specifications.
Meets with client and maintains excellent rapport.
Follows and focuses on established standards for project production and review.
Keeps Principal in Charge informed of progress or need for assistance.
Supervises and mentors assigned staff.
Actively participate in stakeholder meetings with heads of departments, specialists and others to collect and refine program needs for manufacture and laboratory facilities.
Assist in developing project scope, plan, and services during the process.
Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and developing relationships potential clients.
