We are hiring for a SDET to help in developing and implementing a new test automation strategy and framework for our software development department. The ideal candidate will be a talented tester by nature: comfortable with both manual testing and developing automation code.
Aid in the development and implementation of our new test automation strategy
Aid in the development, implementation and maintenance of a new test automation framework for our embedded Linux devices
Develop test plans, procedures, test code and test scripts based on specifications, user stories and system and software requirements
Execute tests and resolve issues
Report on testing activities
Mentor others in the organization
You will join our newest Scrum team in the embedded software space working on products in our Cell Therapy Technologies (CTT) business area. This is a trailblazing team, fueled by curiosity and passion to develop new technology for the future of Terumo BCT and patient care on a global scale. This team is big on collaboration and believes that they succeed or fail as a unit. You will fit right in if you are passionate, highly motivated, take personal accountability and have a strong sense of ownership over your work.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring a unique skillset to the team and propose new ways to move the testing strategy forward. We are looking for someone who is confident in sharing ideas and proficient in gaining the support of other team members. At the same time, it will be important to be open to feedback and discussion and speak up if you feel confused or lost.
BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in software test automation
Experience writing automated tests in behavior driven development style, e.g. Gherkin language using Cucumber
Experience testing at the API and unit levels
Experience testing on embedded devices is a plus
Knowledgeable of software development principles and modern object-oriented programming languages
Adaptable team player who is willing to learn and mentor others on new technologies
Enjoys challenges and is eager to advance career as an SDET
