The Over-the-Air Interface Engineer for Features will collaborate and mentor on tasks as part of a larger OTA development effort. A key role will be to interact with development teams to coordinate and manage deliverables associated with enhancing and developing OTA capable EESE+ Features.
Develop and execute end to end process to deliver a positive OTA customer experience
Lead vehicle system level validation sign-off prior to OTA deployments
Support vehicle system level test plan creation, execution and JIRA issue management for PJ1 changes
Lead Weekly OTA PAT for cross-functional concern resolution (Issue Driven Agenda)
Drive ECU migration plan to achieve robust OTA implementation
Review/Revise Ford Quality Operating System (FAP’s) to ensure successful execution of IVSU feature
Represent Feature PMT during VE and management issue resolution meetings to troubleshoot IVSU feature related issues and identify resolution paths
Support development of an OTA process training guide and build organizational competency across PD
Contribute to In-Vehicle Software Update feature development, Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, and verification plan, leveraging MBSE methodology
Root cause, analyze issues related to Software, Electrical HW and Mechanical HW
Analyze vehicle CAN communication data and ECU diagnostics
Support development and deployment of a software management tool & process that is capable of tracking vehicle to feature compatibility throughout the full product life cycle
Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related degree
2+ years of experience with automotive systems engineering
1+ year of experience with project management
Masters’ Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related degree
Experience delivering Over the Air Software Updates
Ford ECU Design & Release experience
Troubleshooting experience electromechanical and software systems
Good team work skills and practices
Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance
Experience with CAN communication data and ECU diagnostics
Demonstrated ability to write presentations and communicate well with various groups
Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction
