Job Title: Production Programmer
Reporting to: Production Manager
Location: Fargo, ND
Responsible for programming/nesting jobs for Laser and Plasma equipment and providing technical support as needed.
Create efficient “Nests” for Laser and Plasma equipment in timely manner.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of the workload for the Lasers and Plasmas.
Work with sales department in establishing estimating standards and process controls.
Ensure programs are correct and match sales orders and customer requirements.
Maintain a consistent high level of organization in Production office.
Review work in progress and report accordingly.
Assist management in developing optimal production efficiency with personnel and equipment.
Assist in closing production orders.
Provide accurate and timely information about work in progress.
Support and encourage other crewmembers.
Achieve required quality standards.
Achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Represent the company in a professional, friendly manner.
Promote good departmental and inter-department team spirit.
Carry out additional duties as required by Management.
Work pro-actively and conscientiously in support of Owen Industries and its policies.
To participate in and support Continuous Improvement Programs, HR and other company initiatives.
To carry out duties in accordance with ISO standards and other company procedures.
Technical skills & knowledge of process.
Acceptance of responsibility
Decision making / self-reliance
TruTops Fab/Nesting and OPTS Experience preferred but not required
SAP Experience preferred but not required
Experience with various CAD software preferred including and AutoCAD and Solidworks

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
