Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a full-time Construction Inspector in our San Bernardino, CA office. This person will be responsible for the inspection of specific operations on construction job sites for the project.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate with Program Manager on schedule and location of projects.
Must obtain measurements and report progress information and place on an Inspector's Daily Report (IDR).
Becomes thoroughly familiar with the plans and specifications for the job to be inspected.
Carry out specific instructions on an independent basis and oversee/review the work of others on-site.
Must be able to be a good communicator.
Must know how to scale and measure distances.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, contractors and employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must understand construction surveying procedures and principles.
Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer software.
Railroad construction experience is preferred. (Training is available)
Pre-employment drug screening is required.
S. in related field preferred.
