The MITRE Nuclear Resilient Communications department has an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic technical team having substantial impact on the design and development of next generation DoD communication systems. While our work focuses on radios/terminals that communicate with satellites, we are also responsible for developing communication capabilities that span space, aerial, terrestrial, nuclear and cyber military domains.
You will investigate the performance of communication systems and sub-systems
You will use experience with communications technology to create technical requirements, identify design tradeoffs, create and use modeling and simulation tools, develop approaches to identify and mitigate system risks, and integrate and test new designs.
You will contribute to working groups or studies covering multiple engineering domains with a diverse team, creating timely and actionable recommendations to shape DoD strategy, and interfacing and collaborating across multiple stakeholders to create optimized solutions to national problems.
You have the ability to frame, break down, and solve technical problems.
You can effectively collaborate across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines.
You are passionate about communication technology and learning
Course work or experience in any of: signal processing, RF systems, satellite systems, waveforms, design concepts, channel modeling
Co-op or internship in communication systems
Eligible for a U.S. Secret level Security Clearance
